FirstService Residential organized a panel discussion of industry experts for its board members and building owners focused on the NYC agencies that offer efficiency incentive programs. For superintendents, resident managers and property managers, a series of seminars was held to complement demonstrations by nearly 30 suppliers who displayed a spectrum of goods, services, and technologies addressing sustainability. These ranged from environmentally friendly cleaning products, water management, and roofing systems, to efficient lighting, heating controls, pest extermination and solar and wind solutions. Also presented were clean fuels, tankless water heaters, combined heat and power (CHP), landscaping, car sharing, and all of New York City’s recycling programs.

As part of the FirstService Residential executive team, Scaglion is responsible for business development, pre-development consulting for new rental developments, re-positioning existing rental assets, as well as developing a marketing and leasing platform for rental properties. A 25-year industry veteran, he is a noted authority on real estate sales, marketing and leasing.​

The corporate headquarters of FirstService Residential has announced that its New York City subsidiary, Cooper Square Realty, has been renamed FirstService Residential. This change is taking place simultaneously as 18 regional FirstService Residential subsidiaries adopt a unified name, effective June 27, 2013.
