As President of BC's largest Property Management company, Chris is licensed in both Strata Management and Rental Property Management.
Before joining FirstService Residential, Chris held executive leadership positions at some of North America's largest retail brands.
Chris is passionate about service, technology and being the best employer in the market. He understands that FirstService Residential holds responsibility as the largest player in the BC market and works closely with all teams on automating processes, innovating service delivery while setting the bar for enhancing asset value and maximizing operation budgets.
When not working, Chris is an avid athlete. He participates in Marathon running, basketball, tennis, and outside pursuits in Beautiful British Columbia.
Darrin has over 20 years of senior experience in the facilitation of corporate training programs, sales, customer service and business development. Before joining FirstService Residential, Darrin was Vice President, Operations, with one of the province’s oldest retail chains. In his career, Darrin has excelled in all operational areas, from customer satisfaction, employee engagement to process and profitability.
Darrin has also been committed to various local and national charities which helped to fund after school programs and pediatric cancer research and family support services.
Lydia Tay serves as Director of HR at FirstService Residential BC. Lydia supports leaders and associates for all HR services, ranging from recruitment and onboarding to career development and recognition. Lydia started her career in London, England and has since developed expertise in Recruitment, Employee Engagement, Change Management and Learning & Development from working in the consulting, private industry and the academic sectors. Most recently, Lydia was the Manager of Employee Engagement and Development for Purdys Chocolatier where she redefined the organization’s approach to employee experience and culture, culminating in a Glassdoor Best Places to Work award. Lydia holds an MBA from the University of British Columbia and is a member of the Chartered Professional in Human Resources Association and the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), where she has held a number of local and regional board positions. Lydia enjoys staying active by running, skiing and hiking.
Sean has been with FirstService Residential for over a decade. Today, he leads our Community Development department, where he works with Strata and Rental Developers – both in the early stages of development, right into occupancy. As such, he has assisted with 10,000+ homes and numerous commercial developments across Canada.
Sean is heavily involved in the FirstService Strata and Rental operations teams and acts as a communication liaison between the teams and Developers. Sean holds a university degree in Business Administration and is licensed under the Real Estate Services Act of British Columbia as a Strata Representative and Managing Broker for FirstService Residential BC.
As a strata manager, he managed a variety of complex strata projects, including new construction, mixed-use, and hotels.
Sean is a frequent public speaker on Property Management; he also sits on many boards, including CCI Vancouver. When not working, Sean is kept busy with home renovations and three young children.
Dale Dyck serves as Vice President, Property Services at FirstService Residential BC. He is responsible for building and managing a high-performance team that delivers outstanding client service and enhances the value of each property we manage as well as the lifestyle of the residents we serve. With his strong operational and negotiation background, Dale also oversees negotiations for better partnerships with suppliers and other industry professionals to deliver greater value to our clients.
Dale brings over 30 years of senior leadership and operations’ experience in the hospitality industry from companies such as Delta & Marriott Hotels and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts.
In his most recent position as Vice President of Hotel Operations, Dale was responsible for the oversight of 17 hotels in Canada and the USA, as well as facilitating new hotel openings and acquisitions.
Dale holds a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management and has throughout his career been active in destination management, tourism and hospitality associations, organizations and Boards of Directors.
Dale enjoys running, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his two grown children.
As Vice President, Client Accounting for Western Canada, Karen Keebler is responsible for the management of the client accounting and financial services teams. In this role, she oversees the execution of clients’ financial reporting, budgets, and other accounting operations. She encourages improved client service and process efficiencies.
Karen has over 15 years of senior management experience in various industries. Prior to joining FirstService Residential, Karen held the position of Chief Financial Officer at a private construction subcontractor and before that, a public technology company.
Karen holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and is a Chartered Accountant. She is a member of CPA Alberta.
He holds a Degree from the University of Victoria, and a certificate in Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management, through Cornell University. He is a CPM Candidate through IREM/REIC (2022) and is licensed through the Real Estate Council of British Columbia. When not focused on creating value for clients, Chris enjoys blogging, cycling, and hiking the North Shore trails.
As Director of Financial Planning and Analysis for Western Canada, Hardik Bakhai is responsible for the financial management of the Alberta and British Columbia markets. This includes reporting, planning, contract management and business optimization. He also helps cross organizational teams improve efficiency by reporting operational gaps; through KPI and metric reporting.
Hardik has over 10 years experience in financial analysis, business planning and supply chain management. This has been in industries such as property management, technology, and banking in Canada and India. He has an excellent track record of delivering substantial improvements for business performance and profitability through the implementation of innovative management frameworks, business systems and processes.
Hardik is a member of CPA India and Ireland and in his spare time is passionate about snowboarding, hiking, travel, volunteering and cooking.
Amerjit’s management experience ranges from individual units to properties with several hundred units, from high-end residential to affordable housing. She has experience in both leasing and building start-ups and building wind-down.
To recognize her deep and broad experience, Amerjit was awarded Property Manager of the Year in 2019 by the Professional Association of Managing Agents (PAMA) BC.
He has experience managing all types of residential and commercial stratas ranging from small, large, high-rise and low-rise towers, townhouses, and air space parcels.
He holds a college diploma in sports and recreation. In his spare time, Peter likes to participate and spectate sports, watch movies, and attend live music.
Isadora has both a CPA and CGA and is responsible for overseeing compliance per the Real Estate Council of BCs requirements. In addition, she is passionate about mentoring, is a Mentor to CPA students, and takes great pride in supporting and developing her own team members.
Shambhu has over 15 years of senior finance experience in various industries. Prior to joining FirstService Residential in Canada, Shambhu worked in Nepal, the USA, and Mongolia.
He holds a Bachelor of Economics, MBA with a concentration in Internal Business & Information System and is a Chartered Professional Accountant. He is a member of CPA British Columbia.
Brent’s professional career in sales began selling souvenirs at Canucks games back at the PNE Coliseum. For the past 15 years, has been closely working with strata managers as a salesperson for various trades, including painting, high-rise window cleaning, and HVAC services. The sales world is full of cookie-cutter reps who lead with their ego and put their needs ahead of the customers.
Not Brent; he is passionate about the needs and goals of his clients and specializes in bringing them peace of mind.
Brent lives in South Surrey with his wife and their Jack Russell Terrier. He is an avid hiker and budding kayak enthusiast. Brent is responsible for the continued growth and strategy of FirstService Residential’s Market throughout British Columbia.
James takes a consultative approach to his role, recognizing that having the right fit between a community and its management is crucial to long-term success. Prior to joining FirstService, James worked in luxury hotel management and business-to-business sales.
James has more than 20 years of experience in customer-facing roles and a true passion for customer service. He is a licensed strata manager and has a degree in Business Management.
When not working, James is also an avid mountain biker and serves as the President of one of BC’s largest non-profit mountain bike clubs.
